PietSmiet’s real name is Peter George Smits. PietSmiet is a German-language Let’s Play channel run by five, formerly six, people alike. The members are Piet, Br4mm3n, Chris, Jay and Sep. The Hardi was also one of the founding members, but left the group in October 2015. All five are passionate gamers. In addition, everyone has their own Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
The main canal PietSmiet existed some time before Let’s Plays were released there. Peter Smits first published videos that he produced together with classmates at school. It was about acting content. Peter Smits first opened the channel “PietSmiet”, this he put out some time later to reopen it. However, he noticed that this was not possible, because even after deleting a channel on YouTube its name was still forgiven. So he called the “new” channel “PietSmittie”. Under this channel URL it became more and more and more, until Peter Smits got the possibility to call the URL “/ PietSmiet” his own.
