SymFuhny’s real name is Mason Lanier. Symfuhny is an American competitive gamer, partnered Twitch streamer and YouTuber. He plays primarily Fortnite: Battle Royale gameplay. Since his debut, he has attracted 1.3+ million Twitch followers and counting. His YouTube Channel boasts another 465K+ subscribers. He’s played competitively with Ninja, Tfue, SypherPK and Nate Hill among others. SymFuhny joined the team NRG Esports with a long competitive gaming history in H1Z1, CS:GO, Rocket League and PUBG he has refined his settings and key-binds for the competitive approach. He is a full-time streamer and competes in video games. Some say he is the fastest builder in the game.
He has a sister and currently lives with his parents.
Symfuhny was introduced to video games when his grandparents bought him an Xbox 360 with Halo. From there, he moved on to Call of Duty. As he gained more skills, he also became more competitive. In 2013, he was inspired to try out streaming for fun with some MineCraft gameplay after watching some other streamers, but it didn’t really work out for him.
A few years later, he discovered H1Z1 and became addicted to it. He managed to achieve top-rankings for a few seasons, and then decided to attempt streaming again after his friends and members of the H1Z1 community encouraged him to. However, it was when he switched to Fortnite soon after it came out that his popularity and channel really started to grow. This was largely due to his impressive editing skills. On March 19, 2019 he was signed on to NRG Esports’ Fortnite team.
Symphuny opened his YouTube channel on April 22, 2014 and his Twitch account on April 8, 2016.
When it comes to improving in Fortnite , I would say it just comes down to putting in a ton of hours every single day. You can’t just expect to be good; it takes a lot of time, a lot of practice and you just gotta kind of put everything into it.
[To those who ask, ‘how do I grow my stream,’] honestly you just have to put a lot of hours in. I feel like you have to go in expecting to not get big. A lot of getting big on Twitch and stuff is luck. So, you just have to… have fun with it, not really go into it for the money.
